Job Description: Regional Director Field Medical Affairs-Eastern Region
We are partnering with a biopharmaceutical company on a confidential search for a Regional Director of Field Medical Affairs to join their growing Medical Affairs team. This leadership role is responsible for the direct management of Medical Science Liaison (MSL) team members in support of all Field Medical Affairs initiatives. The Regional Director will be responsible for hiring, training, coaching, performance management and directing MSLs in the execution of field medical responsibilities.

Highlights & Requirements:
· Education: Pharm.D., M.D., Ph.D., or other recognized doctorate level education
· 3-5 years direct personnel management of MSL teams and 3 years MSL experience
· Full accountability in direct personnel management of MSL team members. Responsibilities will include leadership, performance management, recruiting, training, coaching and directing field medical activities and the achievement of results
· Lead, execute and deliver key results against field medical plans, Medical Affairs, R&D and corporate projects, initiatives and goals. Provide key insights and input to enhance medical strategy and key initiatives
· Experience supporting research and development programs including R&D, Clinical Operations and Medical Affairs Departments
· Field therapeutic area expert demonstrating high scientific knowledge in key therapeutic areas such as Oncology, Immunology, Anti-Viral, Neurology or Rare Orphan Diseases
· Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare delivery policy, systems, healthcare organizations (Payors) and thought-leader development
· Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
