Research Scientist – Oncology and Molecular Profiling
Location: Full-time, on-site role in a Durham, NC lab.
Overview:
We’re seeking an experienced Research Scientist skilled in molecular profiling and pharmacology to drive studies that assess the mechanism of action and efficacy of cancer therapies. This role involves designing, executing, and interpreting both nonclinical and clinical studies, with a strong focus on Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) and related molecular profiling analyses.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Molecular Biology or related field, or Master’s with relevant experience.
- 5+ years of bench research experience in oncology or a related area.
- Proficiency in data analysis, bioinformatics, and statistical testing (Excel, JMP, R, PERL, Python).
- Hands-on experience with NGS (both in-house and outsourced) and routine oncology assays.
Responsibilities:
- Lead molecular profiling and pharmacology studies, focusing on NGS and omics data analysis.
- Perform in-house profiling and pharmacology studies.
- Conduct data analysis, and statistical testing, and manage bioinformatics.
- Conduct and oversee both in-house and outsourced NGS projects.
- Prepare internal presentations, conference abstracts, and manuscripts.
