Position Overview:
We’ve partnered with an innovative biopharma company looking to hire a Vice President of Information Technology. This role is responsible for overseeing IT infrastructure, governance, and services for the organization. As a hands-on technical and management leader, the VP will develop and implement strategic IT initiatives while ensuring the company’s technology solutions align with business objectives. The role will focus on transitioning the organization to a fully integrated R&D and commercial entity.

Opportunity Highlights:

  • Develop and implement IT infrastructure strategy for both current and future organizational needs

  • Lead Oracle ERP implementation and manage ongoing system activities

  • Manage IT vendors and consultants, while building and leading an in-house IT team

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to define project requirements and keep teams informed on IT service statuses

  • Oversee IT security and compliance efforts, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards such as GxP, PHI, SOX

  • Establish IT policies and procedures, including IT contingency plans

  • Manage the IT budget and maintain hardware and software used across the organization

Position Requirements:

  • Advanced degree in Information Technology or a related field

  • 15+ years of IT experience, with prior experience in the biopharma or pharmaceutical industry

  • Extensive knowledge of life sciences development processes (clinical operations, GxP, regulatory systems)

  • Proven experience managing an IT department, including vendors and direct reports

  • Experience with cloud and on-premises infrastructure management, including Oracle ERP systems and Office 365

  • Experience transitioning to a revenue-generating company

  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and drive strategic initiatives

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a solution-oriented approach to problem-solving
